‘08 Danhard AC system
This is the 60-2040 new design (Starcool) 2008 delivered vehicle that is independent from the E350 AC. I removed this due to not using and needing the interior space. It was functioning when removed….sort of. The previous owner said they never used the AC. The exterior condenser fan motors were corroded and frozen when the van was purchased a year ago. I freed them so the motors turned (less blades), the compressor functioned, interior fans at various speeds operated, controls all worked, and AC cooled a little (low on 134). So in summary, the condenser fans need replacing (post on the forum identifies Amazon replacements ~$80ea). The other issue is one condenser hose connector I cannot remove without more damage to the soft copper connector tube (twisted during attempts). Some guerrilla attached that hose so the condenser will need to be replaced or connector repaired.
To get this fully functioning would require these items: coolant hose O rings, fixed condenser, new fans, some interconnecting wire, air ducting, and new desiccant unit.
Included are the various Sportsmobile mounting brackets (need refinishing), compressor assy, condenser, evaporator, dessicant assy, wiring lengths, coolant hoses, fan switch, Tstat, Danhard installation/operation drawings, items shown in the pics. Evaporator was mounted on driver side aft of 6’ couch, so coolant lines were sized to reach from Condenser and Compressor behind driver front door undercarriage. Not included are the air vent inserts mounted on the cabinet. Wire lengths were left attached and pictures will be included to facilitate assembly.
Would strongly prefer local pickup as the compressor bracket assembly is heavy (~45#), the condenser assembly is ~20#.
$600 and buyer pays packaging and shipping if not local. Not bad for a $4500+ option for the right individual. PM
