08 Express Quigleys, SMB fresh rebuild
So if you have followed the recent build- it turned out better than expected. I love the Chevy platform! This is officialy my own 2nd van build out, but I pretty much finished out a friends as well. They keep getting better!
DETAILS-
-Original Quigleys from the factory, you can call and verify.
-Original SMB Arizona build for a owner finished in April 2010.
-3500 extended wheel base, 6.0 gas, 4L80E, rebuilt trans at 205K. Currently has 220k
-They traveled the country in it for next ten years put 190k on it and it sold to who I bought it from. It was in WV, barely used next 2-3 years. Sat and needed to be revived.
-I got it when all the OG SMB interior was stripped out, new Rockwool insulation installed throughout the walls and doors with luan fastened with furring strips.
-Has recelaimed paneling on the walls, and the floor is insulated mat, a rubber mat, then I installed Hydro Turf-or Sea Dek on the ceiling top and the floors. It is an awsome material that is very durable and easy to clean.
-I built all new cabinets around the 3 way fridge and Air fryer, convection oven, micro combo. They are vented with it's own undercarriage propane tank, and switched exhaust fan.
-Sleeps 2 adults up top in the new bed and 2 kids on the dinette, possibly 1 adult down there.
-There is a hammered black copper sink with a Dometic lithium ion faucet that charges on the USB port, works GREAT.
-All live edge counter tops, or butcher block with epoxy finish.
-Has really nice rear bench seats that fold up for great storage. Also folds down into a bed, or stays up as a table..
-I outfitted it with a 200AMH Renogy AGM battery that I mounted in the spare tire space under the van. This is cycled by a 40amp Renogy "house batt" loop charger. Also a 2000w Renogy Invertor/Charger smart system.
-Van can run for long weekend without plugging anything to it- very efficient
-Has over 5k in new front end and lift parts installed. New Aftermarket torsion bars, torsion keys, Rough Country shocks front and rear, new leaf packs in the rear (I hate blocks) New Timberline 1-ton steering package that has drag link, tie rods, ball joints all new and twice the size of the stock van.
-New Move bumpers that I fabricated and installed front and rear, both have new LED lighting. Has new spare tire holder, new ladder, new cargo rack, new side steps..
-New 285/75/17 Hancock All terrians on new Vision wheels with matching spare. Like new
-10' new Fiama Awning with the LED center bar.
-When I got the camper it had a leak in the top from the racks that had been installed. I removed every bolt that went through the top, installed 2 layers of fiberglass over top and then re-painted the entire top with a RV magic rubber style paint. Then replaced all the hardware with stainless bolts. No more leaking anywhere, but the stains from the previous leak are still visiable. I have not really tried to get them out just yet..
-Brand new JVC 9" head unit with 6 new speakers, sounds Great! will also play movies from a USB stick or HDMI cable.
-Van went through a thourough inspection of everything, has very very little rust, and just got new front and rear brakes and rotors, New coil packs on 1 side, all new plugs, fresh oil.Runs excellent, has been on several trips runs, drives, stops everything as it should.
It's not perfect, but damn nice. Will do 80 down the highway on cruise with 1 hand on the wheel, A/C blowing in your face with great sounding tunes!
I have put over 12k of new parts in it in the last 6 months.
I like building them- this one is ready for it's new owner, and me my next project.. It will serve someone well for many years at half the price of these newer ones!! I know tons of details left out, have paperwork on everything. Most still has warranties-
$46k PM me for any more details
