1979 Chevy G20 4x4 Shorty!

Hi guys and gals,

PICS HERE:https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B08532ODWlSisf
I am a certified van addict/hoarder and my wife is sick of my shenanigans so I am going to have to sell this one. Its a running, usable project that could be used fine in its current condition or made extra fun for a little bit of $$. Thought I would see if anyone here had interest before I put it on CL and all that. WONT SEPARATE STUFF, WILL CONSIDER TRADES!

I know that what I have into it is not proportional to what it will sell for.... I'm thinking $4000 is more than fair, but I would listen to reasoning if you think that's too high. Also, it will come with tons of receipts and documentation.

1979 Chevy G20 short wheelbase with Pathfinder 4x4 conversion
New interior:
-2 new captains chairs
-New 3 panel bench seat/bed
-New upholstered wall panels
-New refrigerator truck insulation panels
-New full length head liner
-New interior light fixtures
-New heavy interior wiring run for lights and 12v outlets/accessories
-Custom TIG welded shoulder belt attachment points
-5 new custom seatbelts with hotrod hardware (safer than just nuts and bolts)
-86 qt. Edgestar 12V/120V fridge with upgrades
Single rear passenger window (factory)
New speakers front and rear, including a sub and a nice amp
BIG flip down TV/DVD combo
Rearview camera and large rearview mirror mounted monitor
Sliding door (as opposed to barn doors)
New tires with less than 100 miles on them
Hitch receiver

Comes with a custom battery tray, 2 space battery box with vent hose an louvers, 12v fuse panel, lots of BIG cable for connecting batteries and audio equipment (some is pricey welding cable), extra parts (I loaded up on pick and pull stuff that GM doesnt sell anymore), a bull bar/grille protector that connects to the bumper, and a bunch of new parts like window felts, door gaskets, exterior lights and all that. I'm sure there's more that I am forgetting too..

Now, here is what is not so good:
Poorly painted a few years ago by a tweeker, and it shows
No head unit
Dash is still brown... I have the stuff to make it gray but black would probably look better)
Missing smog equipment (hence the Nevada "Classic Vehicle" plates)
Needs new exhaust (rusted cherry bombs sound good, but not liked by EPA)
Pathfinder springs need re-arched and could use shocks and longer shackles IMO

Thanks!
Patrick

Hi guys,

I did sell the van. That black one is about 3X the price that mine was, but it also appears to be about 3X as nice.. But its no shorty!

Thanks, I figured. I have to disagree though, I prefer yours! Had I been looking for a van last summer I would have picked it up in a heartbeat
