1994 SMB: Parting Out (NOT ENOUGH INTEREST-DIDN'T BUY BACK)

Had my 1994 Dodge EB Penthouse totaled by the insurance company.

Everything works;

2 year old StarCool air.
Propane Stove
Furance
2 Cf 2way refr
Day/night shades
Great cushions
Water heater
etc, etc

I'm thinking about buying it back and offering parts to SMB owners; but I've never done anything like this before and don't know if there's any interest in any items.

Let me know if you're interested in anything. I have to move on this within the next week so I need to hear from you if you're interested.

Re: 1994 Sportsmobile: Parting Out

I have a 1995 Dodge SMB and might be interested.

Where are you located, and what color is the interior/exterior?

Sorry to hear you lost your vehicle. Did you have any problems with your insurance company? If you feel like posting about it there is a thread going here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3039
Any info is valuable. Thanks and good luck.

Re: 1994 Sportsmobile: Parting Out

Everyone,

Just so that everyone's informed. The insuracne company has the van. I have to buy it back for 1200. Seems kind of steep to me, but that's their number. Anyway, I'm not trying to use this as a money making opportunity for me.

My thinking is that if there are parts that people need and the cost of those parts equal the buy back price, then I'll go ahead and by it back and make the parts available.

If someone else wants the whole thing for that and wants to go at it some other way, that's fine with me.

One suggested that I put pictures out to show what it looks like. I do have some, but need some instruction about how to post them to this website so that others can see.

Re: 1994 Sportsmobile: Parting Out

Everyone,

FINAL POST: REMOVING OFFER; NOT ENOUGH INTEREST

The insurance company has offered a final settlement, which I'm going to accept. There were a few replies to the "parting out" offer, but the total of them didn't come close to the 1200 "buy back" number.

It was worth a try, but not enough interest for me to move forward. Thanks to those who did respond.
