I have several people that want to buy the van. What do I do that is fair? Put it on eBay and let them bid on it?

I believe the most fair and honest way would be the first person that contacted you with money in hand should be able to buy it from you at your asking price. First come first serve is my thoughts.........

I would say stop playing games and figure out what the price was that you expected to get when you first posted it. You will be happy the buyer will be happy and move on. If you try to get even penny out of it everyone loses. understanding that every good deal is only a good deal if you believe it to be. life is short make the deal and move on....

Give the first person that contacted you the chance to come up with the money (within a reasonable amount of time of course) and if that buyer falls through, move on to second person that got in contact with you.

Honestly, I was surprised by how much interest I have received and I've had people try to offer more than the asking price, but informed them that 'no, I committed to a deal with the first person that called'...

...and then the first person flaked (And that's fine; their prerogative.)

So, I have not made or broken any promises to people, and have a jumble of offers, now I am conflicted about what to do.

Aren't market forces of supply and demand supposed to dictate price? How is that unethical?

I'm not trying to be greedy or capricious- I am a student, have a whole stack of debt, and have to establish a new life in a different country where I do not speak the language, I need all the funds I can muster
