Ha, Bet its been hard getting the kids out of it! I would have been stoked if my Father had something like that when I was growing up - We did it all in a 62 Station Wagon (5 kids & the parents). With the aid of some roof mounted cross bars he attached a 4x8 sheet of plywood above which held all the gear. Cut out holes about every foot along the outer edge for straps to hold it down. Those straps also served as seatbelts for three up us sitting up-top while he drove us around on the back trails & logging roads...that's when I got my first pair of sunglasses (was a nuisance constantly getting bugs in your eyes - we also swallowed our fair share). Glad you're getting out in it... you will all have many fond memories!!
