SOLD: 2001 E350 7.3 4x4 Camperized Ambulance

Hey guys!

I'm selling my one of a kind ambo. I know this is mainly a SMB forum but over the years I picked so much info and guidance on this forum AND met quite a few members over the years that I feel like my ambo belongs to the SMB family

The AmbuLand is top notch and extremely well built. It hosts an Agile Offroad 4x4 conversion and is a blast to drive. Sits 4 (and an extra 4 without seatbelts) and sleeps 4-5 comfortably. I just did a major engine service along with a bunch of upgrades/improvements and I'm confident she will be trouble free for many many years. She was still running great at 228K miles before its major service so I don't see why she couldn't even go further given I made it even more reliable! Most of the info is in my Craigslist add but if you have any questions don't hesitate to let me know.

These are just some of the most recent upgrades I've done this past month which involved pulling the engine out and upgrading the following (all new parts):

• New (not rebuilt) Single shot Alliant “AC” injectors with increased fuel output (160cc) & injector cups
• Turbo rebuilt & upgraded to GTP38 with Riffraff Billet compressor wheel
• PHP Hydra with custom tunes for the single shot injectors (extra)
• OEM Valve cover gasket
• Swamps Stage 1 Chromoly HD pushrods
• Oil cooler rebuilt
• Engine oil pan gasket
• Fuel bowl delete with regulated fuel return
• Fuel lines to all 4 corners of both heads (upgrade)
• HPOP gaskets and new High Pressure oil lines
• HPX stainless steel cross-over kit
• OEM glow plugs
• OEM Injection Control Pressure “ICP” sensor
• IPR valve
• International stainless steel Up Pipes
• EBPV delete... and the list goes on!

The price is $50,000usd and she's located near Vancouver, BC Canada.

Cheers
David

One of my favorite build ever, and so well done. This would be very tempting if I were already retired, but I still have a small number of years to go before I'm ready for that.

One thing I did not see listed, that you may want to include, is the size of the lower bed.

For anyone looking for an ambo conversion, you couldn't go wrong with this one. Having seen it in person, I can tell you it's very well built and thought out, with high quality custom work. Best of luck with your sale.................

Thanks guys, glad those who've seen it really enjoyed it!

I guess I did miss the bed sizes. The lower one is 48"x72" but can stretch as long as 78".

The upper one is larger, I'll need to confirm but it's about 54"x82 with room to spare.Click image for larger version

Height

That's a simple question with a complicated answer, lol

The tallest it gets with the roof down is 81" if you remove the bed platform. I often do this if I don't plan to sleep up there. 1/2 of the popup ceiling lowers down at the back and there the full height is 75" (if you look at picture #11 in my add you'll see what I mean).

With the bed platform fully in place it is 69" tall but I usually stack the bed platform to the front end and still get 75" in the stove/fridge area.

The original height was 66"

The lowest point is above the dinette (and bed) where the floor is raised by 6" for the HD rear drawer underneath so if you'd stand there you'd only get 60"

Hope this helps!

Cheers
David

Wow, I get asked that question all the time and I usually just reply, I"m 6ft 4in and there's plenty of room for me, that has satisfied everyone so far. Your answer was way better.
