2001 Ford RB E-350 7.3L Diesel 4x4 Sportsmobile........ SOLD

Sale Pending 7-31-2012...............Sold 8-27-12

I'm the second owner, bought it with 40,000 miles on the odometer. Maintained by myself
based on the requirements in the owners manual. It was professionally converted to 4x4
by Crossed up OffRoad in Tucson, AZ. The four wheel drive components are from an F-250
which had 22,000 miles on it. It now has 93,000 miles. I'm the sole operator of the
vehicle and know it very well. In the 5 years I've owned it I've had one major
mechanical problem. The rear pinon seal went out. The vent tube was blocked with dirt
causing the failure. Other than this one incident the van has been rock solid, always
starting and running like a top. This is a very dependable van. Everything works as it
should. The only negatives this vehicle has are minor flaws here and there from normal
wear and tear. I've kept a blog since getting the van. It is unedited and a true account of owning the van. http://www.sportsmobile4x4.blogspot.com I still have a few items I'd like to finish before I show including refinishing the pop top. The listing is starting a little early due to the emails I've received after posting to TracyAZ. I'm somewhat flexible on the price. It's tough to know how to price these based on all of the options. Many more pictures on request.

Re: 2001 Ford RB E-350 7.3L Diesel 4x4 Sportsmobile $53,500

Ok, help me out here guys. Am I way over priced? Is this a typical case of the owner thinking its worth way more than it is? There has to be someone out there who doesn't want the 50 layout and isnt afraid of green. Lay it on me, be honest and blunt. What will it sell for? What number would make your first reaction be, wow, that's a good deal.

Thanks, Tom.

Ummm, there are lots of "numbers" that would make me say "wow, that's a good deal".

I would be 3rd owner
RB, not a 50
F250 frontend, not SMB, Quad, SK, Quigley, Ujoint, or Advanced... not familiar with Crossed Up
mean teal green (blue?)... not judging here, my van has rigor mortis pink and gray/pale blue fabric (uggggg)
and a few other ???

So, I'd return a call from you at $25K

Thanks twogone. I really appreciate your willingness to post a number. I know the lack of 50 plan, green, non sportsmobile 4x4, and others will bring the number down. Hopefully not down to 25k, but maybe.
Tom.

Not having the 50 plan is a deal killer for me.

Interior colors can always be recovered, at a cost of course.

I have 2 passengers and I wouldn't subject anyone to sitting side facing in the rear for hours on end.

I would force them, however, if the price was $25k.

You have the following going for you:
7.3, low miles, pop top

I'm not familiar with the 4x4 company either.

I would love to see Aluminess front and rear bumpers too.

Finally, I can't tell for sure, but the offset of your wheels look off. Sticking out too wide. Maybe different wheels or a set of aggressive Bushwackers would clean up that look.

$25K?

you guys are clueless.

You want to see Aluminus and Bushwhackers? Buy it and install them!

Keep dreaming and looking.

Panion, nice rig, if you can, hold on to it until you get a REALISTIC offer.

I would think high 30's to low 40's would be a good price on this.

It all comes down to selling a unique rig in a challenging market, and how anxious you are to sell it. I had a lot of people talk to me about my SMB when I was selling it, but really only had a handful that were seriously considering it, or that were financially able to buy it. Mine took a while to sell, but ended up selling within about 10% of my original asking price.

If you want a quick sale, I'd ask $35K. If you have some time, I'd stick with your $44K asking price for at least 3-4 months.

Good luck,
Herb

OP wanted honest feedback.

Telling someone their clueless for their own opinion (<--- subjective) doesn't help his cause.

$25k as is stands now for a "wow, that's a great deal".

Having Aluminus and Bushwhackers at the existing price of $44k for a "hmmm, let me take a closer look at this van".

Giving the OP what's he's asking for.
