2001 Sportsmobile Quigley 4x4 High Roof

2001 E350, V10, Quigley 4x4. Clean title in hand. Zero accidents. 94k miles. $68k. Located near Manchester, Connecticut.

Exterior: build includes Aluminess bumpers with storage compartments front and rear, swing away Baja box, spare mount, roof rack and side ladders. New in 2001 these upgrades totaled $20k. Suspension was set up by Agile Offroad and includes deaver rear leaf springs Fox shock all around, variable rate coils up front, steering stabilizer, bushings and sway bar mount. Riding on American Racing Mojave rims on General Grabber tires, about 4k in miles on since installed. Daniel Stern headlamps offer enough light to properly drive at night and feel safe, unlike the stock headlamps. Exterior lighting flood lighting on the left and right sides. brackets to accept Fiamma F45 awning . Fog lights integrated into front bumper. Auxiliary reverse lamps to really light it up when backing up. Included is a high lift jack, snow chains, and a jack/jackstand combo. 4wd hi and low works great. Manual locking hubs in good working order. Engine is in good strong running condition. Starts right up, never gets too hot on long climbs or when sitting in traffic. No leaks. However with these V10’s they are often known for having varying degrees of oil consumption issues. Ford knew about this and even spec’ed it in the manual. This one takes about a quart every 1700 to 2000 miles. In choosing the V10 over the Ford diesel you get the reliability and dependability that the V10 is known for.

Interior: Original SMB interior was gutted for a rebuild by RVI in San Diego. All hardwood, no particle board, much improved. Plenty of cabinets for storage. Being on the road for long periods of time you’ll have plenty of organized space to store your goods while keeping the camper uncluttered. The clasps on some of the doors have been upgraded so none of the doors fling open when your driving. Stand up height of 6’ 2” Bed sleeps length of 6’ 2” also. Fridge runs on 12v or 120 and has 4.3 CF or storage. Maybe you already know but having a fridge on the road is a serious game changer.

Under the couch/bed lives a 16 gallon freshwater tank fillable from the exterior of the van. It supplies water to the sink, the hot water heater and the shower.. Waste water from the sink drains directly onto the ground or can be setup with a hose and a collapsable plastic water bag to act as a grey water tank.

The interior also houses a suburban furnace which has worked beautifully to keep us warm even when camping in single digits. Underneath the van is a 6 gallon propane tank. The propane also connects to and is the heat source for the hot water heater and 2 burner Dometic stove.

Electrical: 360 watts of solar with 3 stage Blue Sky controller, 2x Group 30 AGM batteries in good condition. The house and the starting battery are either on different circuits are are disconnected by an isolator. We never had a situation where we couldn’t start the van if out house batteries were low, because we never pulled from the engine battery. Though if the engine batter were low there is an way to boost the starter batter with the house batteries. There are plenty of 12v sockets spread all around the van. Interior lighting is LED, so low drain on the batts.

there's a cabinet for and a Hide-Away cassette toilet (toilet can be included if that is a necessity for you). We wanted the space so we removed the toilet and use the cabinet as storage. It was installed near the side door entrance.

the only known issue is while driving on long hills with the a/c on, the a/c will turn off until you've crested the hill, then come back on. could be a vacuum leak of some sort (?) never really bothered to investigate and usually forget about it until the next time.

This thing is a BEAST and a great vehicle for living out of and getting way off grid without worry of getting stuck.

That's a great looking interior. I'm fortunate to have a factory van with an all-hardwood interior (no vinyl or particleboard anywhere). It's one of the things I enjoy most about the camper.
