Re: 2008 GMC SMB w/Quigley 4x4- converted in 2010/11-$55,000

Really like the layout of this rig.

I strongly prefer the center aisle after previously having had both.
I know that's a religious issue, so apologies to the RB50 fans.

In any case, this rig looks like it has much more flexibility of loading and for non-camping uses due to its uncrowded interior build.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. You're making it harder to sell and even the wife is questioning me now!

Just wanted to mention that I just had an oil change (full synthetic), tire rotation, new wiper blades, and brakes checked yesterday. Brakes checked out good (10mm all around).

Yes, it is still available. I have not been active in selling because we have been using it. I will need to update the ad for updated miles and a couple other matters. Will try to do so later tonight or tomorrow.

My dad helped fix the rear swing-away tire carrier last weekend, so it is no longer stuck. Also, we did a quick DIY job on setting up the sink drain to drain into 2.5 gallon Reliance Aqua-paks so you have inside gray water storage and do not have to use the outside drain. I will try to get pics in the next couple days on this. Pretty basic but very convenient.

We have been planning on a trip to Colorado/Wyoming for a few weeks at the end of August if it does not sell.

Re: 2008 GMC SMB w/Quigley 4x4- converted in 2010/11-$55,000

Hi All,

I just wanted to note that my SMB is still for sale. I have had some interest but nobody has been serious enough to come out and take a look or move forward.

Note that I updated information in the ad, as I've used it for trips and miles have gone up.

I also just got back from a trip to CO and WY a couple weeks ago. While out there, the alternator needed replaced, so I had that done and, even though they were ok, 2 pulleys and the serp belt were replaced too. Seems like various SMB forum members have had to deal with various matters on trips this year! Part of the van life I have to tell my wife!

Prior to the trip, I had the trans fluid and filter changed, so that it is another maintenance item completed recently that a buyer will not have to do again for some time.

I also just had the exterior detailed. I'll attach a couple pics, but have more in my gallery. Pics look pretty much the same as from when I initially listed the van; but anyhow, a new coat of wax is on!

I will be heading to Overland Expo on Fri, Oct 2nd, so let me know if you're interested and want to check it out while I'm there.

Re: 2008 GMC SMB w/Quigley 4x4- converted in 2010/11-$50k

Hi All

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and are getting good deals for Black Friday.

Speaking of a good deal:

I have prepped the van for winter storage, so this is my last post for selling until sometime next year. I will reduce the price from $55k to $50k firm, so please let me know if interested soon.

Hey Mike. Would like to see what is at the rear of the passenger side. Looks like something is there but not sure what it is. How much space is there under the gaucho? Enough for a heater of some sort?
