2018 Transit CCV Pop Top, Weld-Tec, Aluminess, SoCal

Van Specs:
2018 Ford Transit XLT
3.5L Ecoboost, 6 speed transmission
2WD
Passenger van with rear AC and Ford factory seats in place

Build out:
Colorado Campervan Poptop with lights, Yakima roof rails and bars
Kitchenette with fridge, 5 gallon water jug, sink, easily removeable
Aux battery system (100AH) charged off the altenator
Rear bed with side cubbies and storage underneath
Rubber flooring
Swivel passengers seat

Exterior
5Ē Weld-Tec designs lift kit (https://weldtecdesigns.com/product/w...-runner/Custom rear leaf springs)
Here is a video they did on the build ()
Fox rear shocks
5x Raceline wheels 17Ēx7Ē
285/75/17 BFG all terrains
Vancompass front receiver hitch
Aluminess spare tire carrier (passengers side)
Aluminess rear storage rack (driverís side)
CCV side ladder

This van has been great for us to transport 5 and sleep 5. The bottom bed is about 72x60Ē (queen) and the upper bed is the standard 52x80. The upper bed is better but the bottom bed is great too. We are finding that we donít use it like we used to.
The van was built with Baja backroads in mind but understanding that most of our driving was highway. The van drives great on the highway and will do 85 mph all day long. Works great when the 285s are aired down on baja washboards. The last thing I would add to it would be a limited slip rear, but with my use-case, I have never needed it. I carried a removeable winch on a tray for the front hitch if I ever got into trouble.

Van currently has 88,xxx miles and is located in San Clemente, Ca. Not in a rush to sell.

Price is $50k. I have receipts for everything on the van. This is a ton of value. I have owned it since 2020.

Gets 14 mpg but I donít drive it gently. Could probably do slightly better if I drove 55 mph. Iíve gotten as high as 18. Itís nice and peppy though even with the 285s.
