Happy to report I'm the guy that stole Rusty was me! Slacker and Scotty86 were both super helpful the whole way through. I was nervous being my first SMB + Daily Driver so Slacker was patient with all my hemming and hawing. Looking forward taking Rusty on many more adventures over the years. Also, this forum was an invaluable resource and will continue to be for me. Hope I can contribute in some ways myself. Cheers everyone!

Congratulations! It's great because you have free lifetime tech support 24/7/365 from 86Scotty.

And believe me 86Scotty and I have both provided extended support for the new owners of our previous rigs. The gal that bought my old van is loving it and really using and enjoying it as I had hoped the buyer would.

Congrats on purchasing a great van. I think it was a great choice and I especially like the idea of a fantastic fan in the SMB roof.
Eric

Congrats Austin. I replied to your email as well.

Whatever Rob says..........24/7/365.

Hope you don't mind if I keep my Avatar a little while longer. That was such an epic day on the Lost Coast of Northern California. We had just left an SMB meet and met DaveB, Calclimber, 1der, and others and had experienced uncommon hospitality from those folks. We hit the Lost Coast on advice from them and it was great!

Thanks guys! Eric has already been kind enough to use some of my on-site support hours haha.

KTM - the fan is amazing and although it's my first SMB can't imagine I could live without it. Got me through a night of sleep in a walmart parking lot in muggy North Carolina on the way to Georgia

Eric, please keep the avatar as long as you like my friend. Although Rusty is in my care now, it will always be your baby. Plenty of awesome memories I'm sure.

Congratulations, Nomadic Neophyte! I'm delighted to see the van going to a happy home.

Here's the backstory: I've been looking for a van for a while. When Slacker posted this one, I jumped on it. I talked with 86Scotty about it; had a long talk with Slacker, and Slacker agreed to sell it to me. I wasn't a cash buyer, though. I sent Slacker a $1,000 deposit, and then went to work on getting a bank loan.

Within days, Slacker contacted me to say that he had one or two eager cash buyers knocking at his door. I didn't blame Slacker for wanting a quick, easy sale--I gave him my blessing to sell to a cash buyer if that is what he wanted to do. So--Nomadic Neophyte--that's how you ended up with the van.

I am looking forward to Slacker returning my $1,000 deposit, and then I will continue the search for the right van for me. I'm looking for a pass-through style; ideally with a Voyager top and an interior shower of some kind. If anyone runs into something like that, please let me know.

Enjoy your new van, NN!

It is hard to find the right van and when a good one surfaces, there is a lot of interest. As always cash usually talks... it was nice of you to agree to drop out of the deal so SLACKER could get a quick sale and I know the new buyer is grateful, he has been looking for awhile.

I'm sure you will get your $1000 deposit back quickly and find another van that suits your needs very soon.

You earned some Karma Points passing this one on.

My deposit came back this morning, so I'm once again on the lookout for the right van for me. :-)
