Boywonder, I believe you have the 5.4 as well. I'd love to hear what results/changes you notice while using the tuner.

Re: BULLY DOG GT TUNER (gas) SOLD

FWIW I also have the same tuner and I now only use it to monitor things. When I had it installed while it did increase the HP a bit, the shift points were all messed up. What a PITA! That was on the Economy setting. The Performance tune never worked. This all being said, Bully Dog did say that they would help straighten things out for me. I just haven't done it. Also they now offer custom tuning for these units but you have to go through a authorized programmer. They don't have the same expertise with our vans like 5 Star does. This is just an opinion and I would also like to hear how you like it.
Cheers
Darryl

Re: BULLY DOG GT TUNER (gas) SOLD

All I'm hoping to accomplish with the tuner is to recalibrate my speedo for larger tires.

If this is possible without paying Bully $$, that would be great.

Next dumb question........if I were to get the speedo recalibrated, do I need to keep this thing plugged into the OBDII port to retain the calibration? ....and would I need to "undo" the speedo correction when getting it smogged?

Yes it will recalibrate for larger tires no problem. That was the main reason I got it.
Also once you have calibrated it, you can unplug it no problem. Just remember that you will need to return it to stock before it goes to Ford for service (I case they flash the computer). It does make a nice monitor for engine readings. It will display 4 parameters a time.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
