DC Power Alternator

OK Boys & Girls. I’ve got a used alternator from DC Power. It’s a 185 amp unit that I bought new from them in 2015. It’s been super and really puts out the power, especially at low rpm’s.

Problem is that lately the voltage, measured at the OBDII port, has been fluctuating from the high 13’s to the low 14’s and causing me to get a low FICM voltage code (very bad deal). Anyway, I called DC Power and they said it sounded like the internal regulator was going bad.

Well, due to an upcoming trip I needed the rig right away so I had to buy a new one ($430 – Yikes!).

I’m getting tired of this thing sitting on my bench so I’m offering it to anyone that wants it for the cost of shipping. From what I can tell that should be $50 max. That’ll depend on the ship to zip code. I’ll round up the shipping cost to cover a gallon of gas to get me to the PO and back. If you’re close to Reno, you can pick it up an hour north of there.

Here are the alternator specs and the only change from a new one seems to be that they are rated at 180 amps.

It includes the wiring harness to go from your stock harness to this alternator and the installation instructions.
Should fit any E350 with the 6.0
Other rigs, you might need to come up with a custom bracket?

Anyone interested? Think of it as a good deed to keep it out of the local land fill….

It's been a few years but when my DCpower 250XP crapped out they repaired the stator windings for $150.

Another alternator highly regarded is the 230A Leece Neville.
