E350 Rear Flares - Almost Free

Well, this is all Scotty's fault. In December he posted about a sale on Amazon for new flares.
https://www.amazon.com/Bushwacker-22...00COC9DK&psc=1
Well, mine were getting a bit warn and I like to keep the van looking newish, so....
Anyway, I bought a set and finally got around to installing them.

So, I now have a used set that I hate to just toss. The only thing wrong with them is that the front third is sandblasted from tens of thousands of miles of dirt roads where the front tires threw back sand, etc.

This is the front before washing or cleaning up. It feels like 40grit sandpaper and gets sort of grey looking. If you wipe them down with something like Armor All, it turns them black again. Still rough, but look OK. I'm sure you could sand them down and paint them or probably sand them down with finer and finer sandpaper and then buff them out like new. Kind of like removing desert pin stripping from paint.

This is them washed and wiped down. The rear 2/3 is pretty much like new. The front third is rough to the touch and they do have four or five 1/16" screw holes in the back where I had mud flaps fastened.

These include all new mounting screws, edge trim, instructions, Bushwacker decals. They're even in the original box!! Woo, woo.

I'm going to limit this to picking them up in the Reno area. If I don't get any takers in the next few weeks, I'll consider shipping them. It's just a pain for me because of where we live.

So, anyone interested???

Any chance you’ll be near Sacramento anytime soon? I’m interested if so.

Guilty as charged but look at the benefit to your fellow man.

I'll get in line for the shipping option... I'm in Santa Cruz, CA. Hopefully somebody nearby can snag them!

Sorry SteelheadJones. I don't head west over the hill. Let me know if you want to go to wonderful Reno. You could gamble and pay for your trip with your winnings....

I only have the rears zlivewire.

You're on the list nyyankees588.
I don't know what the shipping cost will be. Very light, but large box.

I might be coming over in a week on business. Needing the rear if they're still available.

BTW they take raptorliner really well, no sanding just use a little adhesion promoter and spray, they will look like new.

Great to see these likely going to a new home.

The flares can be repaired and repainted, just takes a bit of patience. I have used MarineTex filler with good results. Also, have used a flat tip soldering iron to melt/weld plastic pieces together. Finding capable plastics with similar melt points can be fun! Wear breathing protection.

A reminder the rear flares come in two models - one for Barn Doors and the slightly narrower version for the Slider Door.
