Econoline 40 gallon aft axle tank - $80
I've got a 40 gallon aft axle tank that I was thinking about using on my E-250 to add a second tank but have decided to do something different.

I had to replace one of these in my Chinook a few years back because the mechanic at the ford dealership used an air impact to remove the nuts holding the fuel pump in place. He snapped off the studs that are welded into the tank.
Obviously it wasnt my fault however the dealership wanted to argue that it wasnt their fault because it was caused by rust. Problem was, they werent rusted. Long story short, in the interest of getting my truck out of that dealership as fast as i could i went ahead and had them order a new tank. The tank was $2600 dollars brand new from ford.

They're not cheap, even when used. I couldn't find any in SoCal and they were ridiculously priced at most salvage yards, usually several hundred miles away. However, I did a trip through Oklahoma and Texas, where I was able to score this tank for less than $200.
If someone in SoCal wants this tank, I do travel to Los Angeles regularly. I'm going to try to stay in Tucson as much as I can until it gets too warm, though.

Kendel do you know if this will fit behind the axle of an RB, or only an EB?

This is the smaller aft-axle 40 gallon tank, so it will fit in an RB. I lifted it up under my van for a trial fit, so can confirm. My plan was to remove and block off the fuel pump, then use an external pump to transfer to the midship tank. Mostly, I was wanting this tank to take fuel out to the hangar, since my Cessna is STC'ed for automotive unleaded fuel and it's so much cheaper than aviation gas. I figured I'd only occasionally use it as a secondary tank for traveling.

Can confirm…are you a Letterkenny fan?
It’s a cool idea. Were you going to add an intake port into the midship tank, or how were you going to get the fuel in?

Through a second filler neck, done the way that MG added them to the EB vans. There's room on an RB with this smaller tank.

I didn't see a PM from you, so I sent you one yesterday. You haven't replied.
The tank is still available.
