for sale: 2001 Ford e350 v10 custom buildout 144k miles

We are selling our beloved camper van! This van was home to us for many years while we lived on the road, in the mountains ski bumming... we called it home as we guided on the San Juan Islands, slid its doors open after days of dusty sun kissed climbing. We love this big ol' orange van so much. It truly is an amazingly cozy place to cuddle up after a day of ski touring... a perfect place to sit and dream or read as the PNW rain hits the roof. Slide open the door and see for yourself... say goodbye to 4 walls and hello to 4 wheels. You'll never feel freer. We really want this to go to a wonderfully adventurous soul(s)... so we'd love to hear what types of adventures you dream of taking her on.

Please read post in its entirety before contacting me!

Selling a turnkey adventure van, custom buildout, one of a kind!

The Van:
2001 Ford E350 Super Duty Extended
2WD (Rear wheel)
Engine: 6.8L v10
Fuel: Gasoline
Transmission: Auto
Mileage: 144,000
Fuel Economy: 11-13mpg
Tires: BFG KO2 installed @ ~125k miles (full size spare included) LT265 75r16 (sized up from stock)

This van/engine has been well taken care of, oil changes every 3-5k miles, run with mid grade fuel, regular fuel system cleaning, regular fuel filter replacement, tires rotated every 5-7k miles. Some recent (within ~8 months) work that has been done: spark plugs and boots, drive belt/tensioner pulleys, intake manifold gasket, mass air flow sensor, rear axle seals, front wheel bearing re-pack, complete new rear brakes, new oil cooler, complete cooling system replacement (hoses/reservoir/etc).

*2WD note: We’ve taken this van up and down mountain passes, forest service roads, desert two tracks, etc. in all types of weather and have yet to stuck to the point we needed assistance. With good all terrain tires and chains on the rear wheels we have been good to go. Couple of winter seasons up and down the Mt. Baker highway and a couple seasons up and down Crystal Mountain highway here in WA. This thing is a tank and is heavy and powerful, with the chains and good tires it handles well and gets where you need it to go.

Buildout:

-Propane locker under bed; sealed compartment with exterior ventilation system. Makes for easy access for removal and refill when needed.
-ceiling is insulated with 1.5” rigid foam (~r7.5), walls of high top with 3.5” of rockwool (r15), lower walls insulated with a combination of rigid and rock wool
-for refrigeration, we have always just used a yeti cooler/ice blocks (not included), it slides under the kitchen cabinet area. 40L size is ideal spatially.

asking $42,250....Cash sale preferred, no lowballs, serious inquiries only, please send over a bit about yourself and why you think this van is ideal for you! This is a special van and has been a big part of our life and we want it to go to the right home. Also please ask questions ahead of trying to set up a viewing/test drive, I don’t want to waste your time or mine. I’m happy to send over more photos, hop on the phone etc.

Direct all initial inquiries to Max at maxjmclaughlin@gmail.com and we can go from there!
