I bought this Sportsmobile about 18 months ago, primarily for a cross-country trip, but also for weekending. We had a very successful trip to the East Coast and back, but find that we just don’t use the van for camping locally. Prior to our trip I removed the Air-Lift bladders and replaced all 4 shocks (front Gas Magnum, rear Load Adjuster), replaced front brake rotors/pads, replaced front wheel bearings, had new spark plugs installed and installed a back-up camera. There was some superficial crazing on the fiberglass top (but no leaks), so I coated the top with Monstaliner. I also installed roof rack bars and an 85 Watt solar panel. Previous owner had recently replaced the house battery (done by Sportsmobile West in Fresno) prior to my buying the vehicle. It has stock-sized BF Goodrich Commander A/T All Season tires with good tread. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes on the exterior, but no history of accident or body repair/paint. Everything works as it should, and it’s all stock.
We now use it only as a second vehicle, driven 2-3 times/week. It rides very comfortably on the road and there have been no mechanical issues. Mileage on the highway (with full touring load) was 14-15 mpg.
