Greetings all- I haven’t checked on the thread in awhile but glad to see the post started a lively discussion. The forum has been a great place to find advice for novice owners like myself as I attempted to enhance some aspect of my SMB. I searched for two years before i found a van.
Those serious about owning a Sportsmobile know the market. I encourage you to send a message with a listing of a comparable rig cheaper and I’ll consider it. Greatly appreciate all the positive comments. Good luck to those in search!

Check out treadco’s post. $77,500. You asked for a post of a comparable cheaper rig....there you go

Nice, he has a pretty rad rig, which happens to be 11 years older. Super sweet setup though!

Very true, but 11k more miles and the older one is garaged, so who knows right?

The older van at that price make this rig look like even more of a great deal. They are both really solid setups. I hope you find the right rig for your needs, seems like finding any for sale sure is tough these days.

As they say, “ He with the gold rules.” A 2014 E350 4x4 SMB EB is a nugget!

- Posting other For Sale ads for comparison, while well intentioned, distracts for the original poster's For Sale ad.
Keep this thread on track to give the OP the best chance to sell his beautiful rig. I will cut and slash extraneous posts if necessary but I don't like to take a heavy hand on this forum.

You seem to have difficulties understanding simple direction. If you want to negotiate a purchase of the van in question, take it private. That's been my direction TWICE, not to mention that was the request of the van owner. Keep this up, and your account will be deleted. Understand?

All-
I had been watching a 2013 SMB that was posted on this forum up for auction on Mechum last weekend. It looks great and has less miles (close to 50K) than my van. Otherwise it's the closest model I have seen for sale. I was even surprised it sold north of $170K

There are a lot of great perspectives that explore why these vans have actually increased in price.
At present, my wife and I stepped back and decided we didn't want to sell it. Mainly due to the problem of ever buying one again once we can travel more frequent.

Oh Wanderer...do YOU even own a van? Let alone an SMB? And can we see some pics?

The E Series rig is what people dream about everyday on this Forum... and if your lucky enough to have one now, you can just about charge what you want. I am sure we could get close to our build price as there have been offers just out of the blue even before the Van life craze. As Chad our builder in Huntington said on a recent stop for a few things, "Take care of this, this thing is a goldmine." Again, I'm sorry for the folks that are angry they want a cool van but are stuck in a sellers market that may just last quite a long time with any cool travel van, let alone a decked out 4x4 SMB/Quality home build (even)...can't wait to see the new owners posts pics of the joy of bringing it home and trip reports!!

Well said that’s the reason I am hanging on to my 08 V10 with 60k miles.
