Free - Seattle - Richlite & other wood shop material

First off - this is located in Seattle and isn't conducive to shipping.

The shop I work at is preparing to move facilities and we have a lot of scraps that are likely going to be trashed. We have a decent bit of finished plywood (lot's of 3/4", some 1/2" and 1/4"). Some larger 1/4" raw poplar plywood pieces. Apple ply (also known as eurocore - high-end, super sturdy plywood) in 1/2" and 3/4" sizes.

We also have a large amount of scrap Richlite - this stuff is awesome (and expensive) for countertops, cutting boards, camp tables, whatever surface you can think of. It's made from recycled paper and is waterproof. Only downside is that it's rock hard, so it will dull knives (I still use it as a cutting board and just sharpen the knives more often). Here are some photos (photos flipped 90 degrees, sorry). We have it in black and brown (a few pieces in "blonde" brown).

If interested let me know what you are looking for, rough dimensions, etc. I can't guarantee anything, but I'll do my best to check and snag what you're looking for... just hoping to pass along some of this great material to others before it gets trashed. If looking for any other woodworking material I may be able to scrounge additional items, just let me know what you need.

Would love a piece of richlite. I would try and see if brother in law could pick it up for me. Craig

PM'd you... let me know size/color. Anybody else that is interested pls let me know specifics - rough size, color/type. This week is super busy at the shop and we start moving Wednesday, so I'll try to grab anything that is wanted before it gets lost in the shuffle.

Garage
Kuddos to you for offering fellow members out and keeping usable materials out of landfills. Just wish I could take you up on your offer, but that's a long drive.

I believe I've responded to all of the PMs... richlite supply is running low at this point, but still have 3/4" apple ply and some finish ply scraps if people are interested.

Interested!

Interested in scrap wood! I am a woodworker and my wife an artist, live in Ballard, we are always looking for wood for projects and it is the primary surface that my wife paints on! Prefer pieces on the larger size 2’x4’ and up but would be open to smaller scraps of higher quality stuff. Give me a call if you’ve got some stuff I am happy to swing by! 734.320.4738

At this point, we are in the midst of moving our shop and everything that I haven't already grabbed is packed up. I definitely have access to nice scrap wood on a regular basis, so I'll shoot you a text. Just likely won't be able to get anybody scrap wood until late next week once we're moved in to the new shop.

Do you have any wood veneer tambour in Maple, Omega National V3M with 1/2" flat slats? In need a piece 22" wide by 14" high. Thanks.

We do not use any tambour setups, so nothing in that regard... sorry about that.
