How about we stand-down on criticizing a forum member's For Sale ad?
This isn't an unaffiliated ad, it is an ad by a member of our forum. The member did not ask for comments if their pricing was reasonable, they are just looking to sell their rig. If you have unsolicited recommendations (e.g photos could be better), it would be much more appropriate to send them to the member privately.
If we start eating our own, no one is going to want to post their rig For Sale here anymore. We have a very civil relationship on this forum, and I'd like to see that continue.

Well, I don't know. Guess I'm one of those smart-alek know-it-alls. Go ahead and throw some shade. You could take it as poking a little fun on a discussion forum between forum members but I guess not. It's also constructive (if you see it that way) feedback on how to structure a better add.
Always sad to see someone's rig go and I often wonder why, unless it's being flipped. That and it's free to sell on the classifieds here. $1000 if you go through SMB West.
Good luck with your sale

I agree with Herb! Let's keep our snarky comments to ourselves and focus our energy and comments on helping our fellow members.

GO HERB!
Agree 100%.
Public criticism is great, as long as its in a spirit of being constructive.....
......but we can all-too-easily turn a corner and start looking like a mob throwing stones.....
This forum has long been a gold standard of quality "help-a-buddy-out" awesome interaction.... so let's keep the good times rolling, eh??

I don't think I posted anything egregious in this thread but I agree. I mainly post when I have a question or have information to share. Of the many discussion forums I frequent this one is the most passionate with great community.

I bought a set of wheels from Ron. He has one beautiful and loaded rig. Good luck with the sale.

Here is the ad from when it was on the classified at SMB west.

With the $85,000 please buy a new camera. Seriously, throw that thing in the garbage, it has no ability to focus on the correct depth of field.
I feel like that camera needs corrective lenses. Do they do lasik for cameras?
I've seen Polaroid photos taken under water with better focus.
Flame me all you want I'm just joking around. Taking stuff like this personally would be silly. Just get a new camera please.
