I had a similar sized dent in my Aluminess box, but it was easily fixed as the aluminum is pretty soft. Some genital persuasion with a soft mallet and a wood block fixed it right up.

Sadly, I read the initial post earlier today and didnt even notice the obvious...until seeing these reply's. Those "substitutions" always happen while using my phone (none as good as this admittedly).
