GROUP BUY - Skreenz for Ford vans

The long awaited, inaugural Sportsmobile Forum Group Buy is here. The best source for information and answers about Skreenz is: http://www.skreenz.com

This Group Buy is for Ford Econoline body style Skreenz only (I have not compared '08 Ford Econoline's to previous model years, so I don't know '08 compatibility). I did not see enough interest to expand the Group Buy into the Chevy or Sprinter body styles. If you have Ford factory tow mirrors, here's what I received from Chuck: "Herb, The current Skreenz pattern should fit around that particular mirror design. Chuck"

From Chuck, the owner of Skreenz (located in Marshall, NC), the Group Buy discount for Skreenz will be: "Our group purchase discount is 10% unless there are more than 25 Skreenz of one type which then would qualify for a 20% discount. The discount applies only to the $55 cost of a pair the Skreenz and not the $9 packing and freight charges. Since I own private winery, I have offered a bottle of wine to anyone who personally drops by and picks up their Skreenz."

Based upon responses received, I do not believe that we will hit the quantity of 25 Skreenz, so the price is $55-10% = $49.50 + $9 packing and shipping, for a total of $58.50. If somehow we make the quantity of 25, I will refund the difference.

If buying as part of this Group Buy
1) PM me no later than midnight 28 May, 2008.
2) I will send you my home address.
3) Send payment of $58.50 (cash, or check / money order in my name) along with your shipping address.
4) I will PayPal Chuck at Skreenz the total dollar amount for the Group Buy.
5) I will send Chuck the list of orderees and their shipping addresses
6) Chuck will send the Skreenz out individually to you when they are complete.

I will post an orderee list and a total quantity count here as the Group Buy progresses. PM's and associated orders received after midnight on 28 May will not be accepted, as only one order is to be accepted by Skreenz to qualify as a Group Buy.

I don't want to wait for checks to arrive and clear, so a PM to me will be your commitment to buy.

thanks for your patience,
Herb

I'll shoot Chuck at Skreenz an e-mail, and hopefully he'll know.

Anyone know if the front driver's or passenger doors have a date code on them? I know my side double doors have 1992 stamped on them. I think that's either a build date or a design date.

I heard back from Chuck today. The '08 doors are different than '07 and earlier, so they are not compatible. Sorry.

Mine's to be an '08. Maybe after enough guys buy '08's, we can put together another group buy. Actually, after spending $100,000+ on the vehicle, saving $5.00 or $10 bucks on the screens and making Herb do all the work seems kinda pointless. But, I guess it's good PM and e-mail practice.

Am I the only one having trouble with this link? It worked the other day, but not now.
