Re: Homemade bumper

Uh, it's not gonna fit in a Ford Aspire (or on top, for that matter).

Re: Homemade bumper

I'm checking with my brother who has a Prius. He can fit a 6' surfboard in there. I'll get back with you. Thx

Re: Homemade bumper

If the Prius is available, its a hatch back right? Take out or fold down the passenger seat, fold down the back seat, bring some blankets so as to not bang up the interior and you may have a plan.

What Wildhare has is what I've been thinking of making .. but I've got 3 kids, a stressful job and realistically no time. I'm also too far away from AZ ..

Re: Homemade bumper

Well, I've decided I want the bumper. Still trying to talk my brother into a road trip in the Prius. Either way I've decided that if need be, I'll bite the bullet and bring the van. Wildhare, please contact me so we can talk about details and schedules. Thank you. You can email me at chrisbaffico@hotmail.com.

Re: Homemade bumper

The bumper has a new home...and its good to be home! Left San Diego Saturday at about 9:00 pm and arrived in Glendale Arizona at about 3:00 am. Slept in a gas station for a few hours -I ended up bringing my van. Met a great guy who does quality work -great attention to detail on the bumper and inside his van. We removed the bumper from his van and installed it on mine. Left that morning at 11:00 am and arrived at 4:00 pm. Hit the wind and missed the brunt of the storm that hit last night in San Diego. Long drive but it was worth it.

Re: Homemade bumper

Yup, pictures please. And some close-ups of the hinges and such. I'd love to get the same mods done to my bumper.
