Hutch Mod Kit by Riff Raff

I attempted to do the Hutch Mod on my 1998 7.3 E350 today. Once I dropped the old tank and removed the sending unit I discovered that my '98 van for some reason has a '96 sending unit which doesn't have the mixing chamber or screens that the hutch mod eliminates.

I reinstalled the sending unit into the new tank and ran 3/8 diesel line with a pre-screen directly to front of the motor. This eliminates all of the quick connects which leak air under suction and leads to cackle at idle. My van is noticeably quieter now.

So, this RiffRaff Diesel Hutch Mod kit and Ford pickup were not needed. My buddy reamed out the pickup for the 3/8 tube so I can't return it. It should work on your 99+ E350. Asking $75 shipped it was $96 from RiffRaff. https://www.riffraffdiesel.com/riffr...-fuel-mod-kit/
