In search of post.
On Friday last week, we tried to make an offer on
this lovely vehicle at Sportsmobile Texas, but by the time we got in touch, we were already on the waitlist. We shed some tears and regrouped. Thought I should post here in the event someone has any leads
Here's what we're looking for:
-First, budget 75-125k.

Van: E350 4x4 (locking differential), RB or EB, v10, although would consider diesel 6.0. Less than 50,000 miles, although heavy preference for less than 30k. Van wish list longer than interior wish list: propane heat, pop top, awning, underfloor storage compartment, winch, front/rear lockers, larger water tanks. We don't need AC as we live at 9k, and will mostly use the vehicle above 6k. We are also open to making changes on our own, especially at the lower end of the budget.

Interior: Any layout works. We actually prefer a stripped down interior as we don't need a cook top or microwave, and top of the line is not necessary for us. We ain't fancy. Although, prefer vinyl floors because dog, skis, bike grease, fish guts, etc.
Although we'd like to buy one in time for next winter, it also seems like the market is *nuts* with coronavirus, and the pricing is definitely beginning to reflect that insanity. I've seen quite a few vans on the private market pushing $100k with 60-100,000 miles on them, and, well, at that point, we'll just keep using a tent! That said, please be honest and let me know if you think this budget doesn't work. It seems like if we go through Sportsmobile the budget is fine, but on the private market, vans seem to be inching up in price? Thoughts on this also very welcome! (We'd also be happy to wait rather than buy during a frothy market!)
