ISO: Quigley Torque Arms

While I was changing my oil today I noticed cracks at the base of my original bottom square torque arms. Figured I check here to see if anyone has a pair of the newer round ones before I contact Quigley for replacements.

Also - Am I ok to continue to drive on the highway (no 4x4 use) with cracked arms while I wait for new ones?

Quigley has them in stock, I was quoted 150 ea lower and 145 ea upper. Plus shipping. I wouldn't drive on cracked torque arms.

This thread might have just saved my ass. Just went out to check the torque arms again before my trip and there was a substantial crack. Two hours later a bit of cussing and the crack was ground out welded and spliced. It should be good until I can get back from my trip in a few weeks.

I just ordered some new ones from Quigley this morning. Can I swap these out without lifting my van or axel? There is no rust around the arms. I don't have a jack at the moment...

You can also purchase (for a bit more $) adjustable arms from either Agile or CCV.. Allows you to move the front axle a bit forward (~1" depending on your van) and get a bit more front travel.

If agiles are a direct replacement go that route. Another member here bought the ccv arms and his review was less than stellar. He said they were far from a direct bolt in. There's a thread where he elaborates but I'm not in a place where I can search for it.

I seem to recall that thread about the CCV arms..

I can't vouch for direct bolt in, as Agile installed mine.. but John could certainly answer that if anyone was interested.

I contacted agile about a month ago and they informed me that they no longer offer the longer torque arms.

Our RIP Kit for your van sells for $1609.59 (plus shipping). The kit comes
with front and rear shocks, steering stabilizer, front coils, sway bar drop
bracket and bushings, and the rear add-a-leaf system. To make sure we get
you the right components, I will need photos of the front and rear
suspension (including the steering stabilizer, the rear spring pack).
We no longer offer the adjustable links. The extended links were an
in house install only because of the extra fabrication that it took to
install the links. If you contact Sabrina at Quigley she can get you their
new tubular links.
