Why? Sienna seats are some of the worst seats you could put in your rig. They are like sitting on a brick. Beyond that if you dont have electric bases underneath them to tilt them, raise them, and lower them, forget about ever enjoying sitting in them. Thats my opinion of them, i have a pair in my truck mounted on 6 way electric bases and i absolutely hate them.

I've been quite happy with the Weldtech base. It's expensive, but I have a lot of faith in it. I was able to get a pair of Sienna seats from a salvage yard for $400 so I felt ok spending more on the mount.

I was lucky to get a pair at a great price. I’m waiting for a Ujoint mount to pop up.

The Sienna recliner seats have nice features if you like their firmness.

About the only seating position I could see these being practical in a true camper configured van is the front row passenger seat on a swivel base. Swiveled to face rearward there would be sufficient space for the recline and foot rest but the foot rest would impact the cargo door ingress/egress.

If the "cabin" buildout is to primarily dedicated to provide for additional passenger seating, then so be it, they can work. But the recline space that has to be allowed for really messes up positioning cabinets, etc.

Seating is priority. No cabinets in my van.
