looking for cross bars and towers (e350)

Hi all,

I am looking for a set of cross bars and (raingutter) towers for my 2006 e350. Something like the yakima 1A raingutter towers + 66" bars, or similar. Let me know if you have anything for sale. It doesnt have to be pretty, I am on a budget.

Just some real world experience -
Wind noise will not be improved by the height of the towers or fore aft placement of the bars. Go with whichever towers suit your roof to bar clearance best.

Spiral wrap the forward most bar with 1/4" UV stable rope with a spacing over about 1.5" between wraps. This will cut your noise by an unbelievable amount, far better and cheaper than a wind deflector.

I've got round yakima bars and towers available but they mount to a rail system (ie., screwed into a penthouse roof) and not rain gutters.

And I can see the budget side of it having recently looked at towers and bars for a different vehicle. Seems like most rack system have tripled in price the last couple of years.

Thanks for the tip Ray! And for the offer Joe, but i have std rain gutters, no rails.

I found a cheaper option in a ladder rack like this:

these can be had for as little as $80, compared to a yakima setup of at least $300, I am tending towards the former. Anything that speaks against this?

Garage
What kind of weight are you planning to put on top? Are the brackets you showcase here up to that task?

Where are you located? I have a set of new towers, bars and locks. Shipping them would cost more than they cost.
