How fast is it? Is it more like a motor powered mountain bike or a dirt bike with pedals?

The website says 24mph top speed for the 49cc. At under 50cc, it falls into 'motorized bicycle' category in California, like a moped; No M1 endorsement, and I think no driver's license, just over 14yrs old to ride.

This is certainly the self-sufficient overlander's answer to the question "What happens if I'm well off the beaten path, and get stuck?".

Of course, once you have one of these hanging off the back bumper, you'll never need it in a million years, but it will make a great 'from camp to town and back' vehicle int he meantime

oh man, I have a gpx 160cc motor that would bolt right onto that thing... that doesn't sound dangerous at all

we currently use little pit bikes to explore our immediate area, but considering something of this nature to try and reduce the amount of weight behind our rear axle. those sure don't look like they weigh 132lbs, but maybe that measurement was with 2 full jerry cans of fuel?

Not saying I have the same one with a 125 in it and can do 55 up Azusa Canyon no problem.

The weight adds up fast on something like that. Just the motor alone in my 80cc Elite weighs something like 35 pounds. 132 pounds is actually very light for a motor vehicle.
