New to Van life! Need new front seats

Hey everyone, new member here. A few Months ago, i decided to pick up a 1999 E-150 Club Wagon. One owner with 29k original miles. Probably paid a bit much, but i wanted a solid foundation for a reliable build. I will post pics of progress. I recently purchased an entire front clip for a 2008-2014 E350 and plan on doing the full front end conversion. I may have screwed up by selling my original interior. I am having one hell of a time tracking down a nice set of front seats. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I haven't found anything that is reasonably priced. If fact, the prices are outrageous. Looking for factory seats in good shape. I am located in Arizona but willing to travel within reason. Also, i am in need of aftermarket front and rear bumpers, however it seems like only a few companies even make them. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Happy trails

I'm in Phoenix also and ended up getting a set of the 09+ captains chairs and dog house out of a junkyard van for $225 from one of the places down on Buckeye/Broadway. I had to clean them up a little, and the foam on the driver seat base was a little blown out. I'm eventually planning on having them reupholstered, add heaters and get the foam built back up so I wasn't super picky about the condition. I was just stoked to find a set after looking for a while. Keep an eye out on Craiglist and OfferUp, thats where those places seem to post their most current inventory.

I recently found swivel seats in a local junkyard conversion van to put in my big Dodge. The seats themselves are in decent shape but way too soft and plush to be comfortable, so I'm planning to install other used captain's chairs on them; something like middle row Stow 'N Go buckets from a Mopar minivan. Very popular with the Vanagon crowd. You might consider that route, as swivels can be a nice addition to a camper van.

Every seat I've bought in AZ wrecking yards has dust in place of the foam cushions. The foam doesn't last in the heat.

Watch a couple of YouTube videos on seat repair. New foam install is pretty straightforward. And you get to buy "hog ring pliers"...

I glued a block of new foam in where I had carefully cut out the old.

Carved it to mirror the opposite side. Had the cover repaired. Ran it through the washing machine and then reinstalled.Click image for larger version

If you retro other seats be sure to look at the seat belt system to see of it can work with your existing system.

Thanks for the tips! I found some Chevy seats and had some brackets welded up to make them fit. They turned out GREAT!
