Nice 2003 4x4 7.3L in Reno

I stumbled on this one today on a used car lot in Reno (just driving by and caught it out of the corner of my eye!). It looks sweet and good price so thought I'd post it. I don't know the owner and know nothing about it other than the ad...

Good price. Is it just me or is there a whole cabinet blocking the doorway?

That does seem weird. The fact that that one cabinet has a different counter height makes me wonder if it's removable or something. Nice rig though.

I don't think it blocks the whole doorway, just the left half. My layout is the same way, but the cabinet is all one level.

I think that smb looks the buisness.Just wish it had different lay out inside.I like the one with all the appliances facing the door as you enter with the seat facing frontwards(i think that might be the 50 plan?)would that cost alot to change around? or am I better just to wait for one to come along with the plan I like?by the way I love this sight,I,ve learnt alot from it already.hoping to buy a smb over the coming months.thanks for your time.Stefany

the '50 plan is certainly the most common. Cost issues aside, you'd never really be happy with the fit and finish to re-do the entire interior unless you really went with a custom job, in which case you're better off just waiting for a used '50.

Are you planning on taking the van back to spain?

That's a standard SMB layout. I never liked blocking the little side door, but most people with that setup don't mind.

But having looked more closely at the photos... What is that behind the spare tire?!?!!!?

And more importantly how do I get one?

Just sell your SMB and buy this one! It is a 7.3L. Good eye on spotting that mysterious black box.

Of course, then you'd have to add your fantastic fan back in.

That is curious. Just big enough for some recovery equipment or fire logs. I could never get away with it as my tire already sticks out so far, but certainly a feature worth looking into!
