Portable BBQ - FREE

Figured I'd off this up here first before throwing it on FB Marketplace.

I bought this from another forum member years ago and used it once. We now just use our portable propane BBQ when traveling and this has been hiding under the dinette seat in our travel trailer for years.

It's quite well built and worked well. You can have what's left of a bag of charcoal too!

Free to anyone that wants to come get it. I'm in San Ramon, CA (SF Bay Area - East Bay). I'd rather not ship it.

Wow Phil. You got the fancy model Port-a-Q with case and windscreen.

Mine has to be at least 35 years old, and other than being dirty, still works like it did from day one. I always take mine for basecamp style trips, but not as much for overlanding.

If you don't get any takers, I'll take it just for the windscreen and case and offer up the Port-a-Q to my friends and neighbors.

You are welcome to it Joe, but full disclosure that it didn't come with a case even though it is pictured on the box. It does have the windscreen though.

Great. I'll still take it as the windscreen is the big win for me. Will PM you to discuss pick-up arrangements.

Garage
For the fun of it (because it looked kind of cool, along with the reference to a vintage BBQ) this peeked my interest - I just appreciate how well the 'older things' were made. Found one on e-bay & from the looks of it pjpvi just made this your lucky day Joe!

The one in that link has the same box mine came in. Might be the only thing we ever bought at Sharper Image store. Mine gets used about 4-6 times per year. It is a solid product. No rust or corrosion, even on the grate. I do line the bottom with heavy duty aluminum foil, and then use the foil to clean the grill when I'm done. The windscreen from Phil's will make it much more efficient.

I think they tried to market it again about 10 years ago, but don't think it caught on.

Thanks Phil. I've adopted the windscreen and have already found a friend grateful to receive the Port-a-Q.
