Powerstop rear rotors and pads

I bought a set of drilled and slotted Powerstop rotors from Summit Racing for the rear of my 2001 E250, (Dana 60, 8 on 6.5in lug pattern) but they rusted out within a couple months. Summit refused to provide any relief, saying they only warranted against rust for 30 days. When I called Powerstop directly, they admitted there was a problem with the metallurgy in some Chinese sourced rotor blanks. They offered to immediately send a replacement set, but I didn't want another set of the same model as they too could have been defective, so they offered a different type of rotor that was coated to prevent rust, but that weren't slotted or drilled. The problem was, they were sourced from Germany and wouldn't be in stock for a couple months, so I had to buy a set of stock rotors from my local auto parts store. Two months later, the replacement set showed up, but I doubt I'll ever wear out the set on the van now. So, these are AR8578EVC coated rotors, (the least expensive I found were $75 ea) and come with a set of Z36Extreme / severe duty truck and tow brake pads. ($50 a set a Summit) Follow the link below for application info. I'm open to any reasonable offer, but the rotors are hell of heavy, so I prefer not to ship. Pick up would be in Northern Washington, but I may be able to meet somewhere as I'm on the road a lot.

Sounds like they’d make good boat anchors.....I’ve got a set of original modified front rotors for my Quigley sitting in my garage, that’ll make a full set, someone come and get ‘em

These are completely different rotors than the drilled and slotted ones that rusted. These are not drilled or slotted and there coated to prevent rust. If you need a boat anchor, I have several, but these should work much better as real brakes.

My apologies Jeff, I was thinking they were the rusted ones, didn’t read the OP closely enough, long few days. Perhaps my ill-fated ending would be better suited for my Q takeoffs.....
