I will be posting our '08 Chevy Duramax diesel EB-50 penthouse either here or the SMB web site in the next few days. Some brief notes:

Quigley solid front axle 4x4, which is no longer an option but is much preferred to IFS (I guess it was too much work modifying the front Ford F350 Dana 60 axle for GMs). Factory Dana 70 rear end with gov lok locker.

47k miles, factory warranty 9/2014 and 104k miles. Still researching price, $65k-70k.

And it is a ford with the 7.3 diesel and has 4wd.....everything you are asking for, for only about $45k.

I am interested in this unit too, but it may still be too early for me to buy since I have to get rid of three other vehicles first!

So I say to you.....go for it, don't delay any further 'cause this is the one you want!

EB or RB would work for us, Were coming out of a VW Syncro so any full size van is going to seem real big to us. How ever I think the EB would be nice just to be able to have that extra space if needed.
To us the most important is that it has to be mechanicaly sound and well taken care of. So maintence records would be a big plus. Past that I do have a list of other options that I would like to have on the van. I just don't want to mess with much after the purchase. Anyone who has ever owned a Westy knows that its always a mechanical battle to keep up with maintence and all the add ons that can be put into those old vans. I guess you could say Im a bit tired of spending my weekends turning wrenches . So with that said Im realy looking for my idea of a turn key SMB.
