Searching to rent a SMB van for 1-2 weeks this october 2009!

Hello,

I know it is a short notice but got the news that diesel engines will not be anymore available soon that modified my plans...

Am planning to be in California from approx. 14 Oct to 2 nov 2009 visiting companies converting to 4x4, camper converters and try to attend the california meet...

What better way to learn about the van than drive and live in one, that's why I try, maybe I am lucky, if not car rental and hotels.

Thanks and best regards,

Andrew

P.S. There was a add a while back that I contacted already.

Worst case you might rent a "van front" class-C motorhome. Alternatively rent a work van and live on the bare metal floor... either way, you can spend your time dreaming of how much better your SMB will be.

What are your guidelines for the van? Mine is not a 4X4 or a diesel, but it is very clean and I am sure would fit your category if this was not an issue. And what were you figuring on spending for the rental?

Re: Searching to rent a SMB van for 1-2 weeks this october 2009!

Daveb, thanks, will check that link.

Kxkid715, no specific guideline, the closest to my desire would be SMB built, ford or US van base located in California between San Fransisco and LA area...
Rental fee to be fair for both, keeping in mind the price from a rental agency. Am writing you a PM.

Saabman, thanks will keep it in mind...

Jage, if it doesn't work out, no problem as I hope testing them at dealers / converters

Anyhow giving a try
