Selling my 1996 Sportsmobile

I'm the second owner and I've had this machine about 10 years, and now unfortunately need something bigger. The previous owner went to Alaska a couple times and I've been to Baja three. 78,000 original miles. Two gas tanks, holds near 60 gallons. 351 gas engine. Firestone airbags. Air locking rear end, on board compressor. Will include the custom hitch mounted box and gutter mounts. Port-a-potty never used. New hubs. New Tires, just serviced. Fresh detail. Never wrecked, never even stuck! Always stored inside. Near perfect. $37,000. Click image for larger version

It is really clean. Has always had little rugs to protect the carpets, and no tears in the upholstery. Privacy curtains all around. Always stored inside, unless on an adventure! My Duramax has to live outside so my baby can be inside!

Hey, it seems like there's already interest in your rig....but by any chance could you perhaps list a few more details of the drive system?

As in --- it looks like the van is 4WD --- is this indeed so?

And if so....do you have the details as to which outfit (Quigley, Advanced, etc) put the 4WD system in? (When the previous owner took delivery of the van from Sportsmobile, was it already 4WD at that point? Or was that installed later?)

Great-looking and beautifully-kept rig!
Best Regards and GLWS

Hi, Yes, it is 4wheel drive. The gentleman I bought it from I believe bought it as a 2 wheeler, drove it home and had it converted in Salt Lake City (He lives there) by Advanced 4wheel Dr. They do great work, nothing hangs down below the axles, no shock mounts, etc. I converted it to manual hubs last year and Warn just replaced them - one was sticky. Drives great, I've gotten 17 mpg at 60 with a tailwind! Usually around 15 on the highway. Unless i get stuck on a freeway somewhere (never on purpose) i rarely go over 60. The old guy I bought it from said he never went over 60, and never on a freeway! Always had regular service, never over 3000 miles between oil service. Tranny, difs, transfer fluid all changed out last fall, all look clean.
