Another thing a potential buyer should consider, in addition to a pop-top, is that a third captain's chair could easily be added behind the driver's seat from the looks of it. There's a window there already and by removing the metal box there would be plenty of room. Might even be able to get a fourth seat inside the barn doors if needed.

Add the gaucho, a pop-top, and the third captain's chair with three-point seatbelt and this would be a very marketable van IMO for less than an $8,000 investment.
I've got 75" from behind the little cabinet by the barn door to the back of the van. There is room there for a gaucho. There is plenty of room to open it up to the 44" width of one also. The two aluminum boxes under the sliding sleeping platform are just screwed to the floor. They'd come out real easy. And if not a captains chair behind the drivers seat, a good sized cabinet with counter top would fit there.

Thanks for all of the input you guys. I really appreciate it. When I built it, I built it for just me and my sidekick Beretta. She sleeps anywhere. lol

The top is a 6K problem that's fixable with a trip to Indiana in short order, or a longer wait at either other location... assuming they haven't destroyed the mold for these vans yet!

I spoke with Sportfmobile yesterday. I can get a gaucho from them for $1700.00. It would be an easy add. I could pick one up and install it for any potential buyers. I'm still waiting to hear back regarding adding a pop top.

Re: Selling my 2013 Ford E350 4X4 conversion van $60,000

Talked with Sportsmobile North in Indian. I sent them pictures of the interior with dimensions of the cabinets. They said they could easily install a pop top on this van. $5,971.00 for the manual one.
$446.00 for the bed option, and $783.00 to custom paint the top to match the van.

I go through Indian quit often with my semi/flatbed, and could drop the van off there to get it installed. They said it could take up to 6 weeks, only because they would have to order the top for the E350 RB. They don't keep them in stock anymore.

I'm more than willing to work on this and the gaucho with any potential buyers.

Wow that's less costly than California. I wonder why the savings in IN vs CA, on the same SMB top?

Shipping of the top?

Probably comes outta Elkart, Indiana - just miles away from Huntington.

I would think any made closer to either western SMB branches would still require more shipping distance/issues.

Re: Selling my 2013 Ford E350 4X4 conversion van $60,000

Based on previous comments made by Sportsmobile, it appears that each location (or at least Indiana and West) sources their tops individually, and presumably locally. I think the tops may be slightly different, too.

Cost might also be a factor of the cost of living in Indiana vs. California, demand, etc.

@Skinny, did you see chetubi's thread where he was trying to find a flatbed transport for his new SMB from the west coast to the east coast for eventual shipping across the Atlantic to Germany? I think he found an west coast shipping option, but if you have cargo space and wanted to earn some $$ on an otherwise empty x-c haul, drop him a line.

Really nice job with the pictures. Other sellers could learn from your good example.

Re: Selling my 2013 Ford E350 4X4 conversion van $60,000

I put the original sized mattress back in today so you can see the size. It's 36" X 72". The slide is mounted on 4 heavy duty full extension slides and there are two fold down legs that are bolted onto the heavy angle on the front. It doesn't move at all. There are some wrinkles on the cover from where the guy had folded it in and sewn it smaller. They will come out as soon as I throw it in the wash machine.

If anyone that's interested in this van, but wants the gaucho and/or the pop top, please pm me and we can discuss. Or call me at 701-721-7140
