Should I pull the trigger ?

Well after lurking on this site and others for almost 5 years I'm finally ready to buy! What do you guys think of this, we agreed to an offer of $34k but I won't do the deal til at the earliest this weekend (time enough to chicken out I guess). It will be going to Chris at UJOR for the 4x4 conversion. http://lancaster.craigslist.org/rvs/3624480152.html

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

If you are happy with the floorplan and features, the price is right.

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

The microwave looks like it's shimmed into position. Just something to look at.

Should I pull the trigger ?

We have a 4 cap'n chair floorplan and love it.

Nice van, Good Luck!

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

My van had those same running boards when I bought it. If you plan to remove them, as I did, beware that it can be a huge PITA to do and leave some holes in the van that need to be filled. The van looks a lot better now that they are removed, though, IMO. I assume if you are going 4x4 you'll be pulling them.

Are you local or buying it unseen?

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

Thanks for the input guys... Yes one of the main reasons I like the van is the floor plan I think it offers a lot of options for uses of the van as I will be using it for multiple things. Yes Broncohauler the microwave is rigged in there, the owner said its one of those things he "didn't get too yet"- should be no big deal. Yes BrianW I am local-I drove out there last weekend to look at it...the thing is immaculate !
I'm in Bucks county (Trevose) so not far from you I'm sure ,and I will most definitely be removing the running boards besides being ugly they're also cracked in one spot.....BTW this site rocks....Paul

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

@stillvanin: drop me a note if/when you get the van. I'm in Huntingdon Valley, just a few minutes from you in Trevose. We can compare notes and vans! I've never seen another SMB in the Philly area, so it will be nice to have company.

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

Do IT!!!!

Really, that looks like a nice van. I like the floorplan (I'm not a fan of the 50 myslelf).

And do remove the running boards. If you don't, a rock or stump will do it for you. You can probably re-sell them. Those are a nice set for somebody who stays on pavement, and repairing them isn't too hard.

(of course I came up with that answer before opening the thread, to be honest)

The only thing is those molded steps vs. 4x4, but regardless floorplan trumps that consideration esp if you want those 4x captains.

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

Looks like a fair price to me. Add my vote to the "buy it now" camp.

The first mod I'd make would be to loose those running boards. That type of running board only works with vans with Disco Balls or Stripper poles inside.

No disrespect to those of you running stripper poles. And here is an option for those thinking of adding a stripper pole but can't squeeze it into your floorplan.
