SOLD: 1999 E-250 EB converted camper

Alright it's with a little bit of sorrow that I'm posting this ad to sell "The Beast." We bought this lovingly converted 1999 Ford E-250, Econoline Extended body van with the intent on seeing all the National Parks, Forests and BLM land we could. We ended up spending a remarkable amount of time in this van and have so many amazing memories because of it.

So let's get down to a description of this beast shall we? We are the third owners. The first owners used it as a cargo van, and at 126,695 miles it was purchased by the second owners, converted, and they lived out of it for months traveling across the country. It now has a little under 157,000 miles on it, and I have a complete service history totaling nearly $8,000 in parts and labor that has been done (this is just service, not the conversion). Everything from oil changes to new shocks, ball joints, etc. You don't need to worry about buying this and it leaving you on the side of the road. This Beast has been well taken care of and will come with a file folder with *all* recipes, and a Haynes service manual.

The conversion started with a layer of reflectix (all over) followed by a layer of 1/2" SPX foam and another layer of reflectix on the walls and roof. Foam insulation was sprayed in all easily accessible holes as well. The walls, and ceiling were then covered with 1/4" Melamine sheets. We have camped in both sub freezing and +90* and have been very comfortable. The insulation coupled with the MaxxAir fan, has made life very comfortable in the van.

From there a nearly queen size bed platform was built, with a dresser, as well as plenty of storage (drawers and cubbies) and two cabinet units on both sides of the van. There is space inside to use the Coleman Camp stove but that stove easily moved to an outside setup when needed! You'll also see the cabinets by the door were designed to store 7 Gallon water containers. There is a nice laminate floor in the front area that is super easy to clean. There are also curtains and magnetic rear window covers for a little privacy. Swivel Passenger seat also makes for easy lounging.

12v power is provided by a Goal Zero Yeti 1250 with a brand new 100Ah battery installed. The Yeti is hooked up to 200W of solar on the roof as well as the vehicle main battery. There are LED lights encircling the interior, with switches in the front and rear. This also powers the MaxxAir fan that is installed in the roof. We've never needed more power out of this setup while using laptops, phones, and cameras for days on end.

The Beast will come with two (2) sets of wheels and tires. The ones in the pictures are BFG KO2's (265/75r16) and have taken this beast to some incredible places. But a set of wheels with normal all seasons will come with this van. We can make arrangements if the buyer only wants one set.

Other "maintenance" items include upgraded LED projector beam headlights from JL audio (no cheap ebay replicas) and are WAY better than the factory lights. I also installed some much louder horns and put on some seat covers. The driver's side seat has a small tear, but with the cover it hasn't grown at all.

So what is wrong with the van? Nothing that I know of and I wouldn't hesitate to take this thing around the country right now. But she does have a few miles on her and is 22 years old, so there are small dents, scratches, etc everywhere. No paint is missing, and from 10 feet she looks great.

So you may ask why we are selling it? In a word, Cancer. Without getting too far into it, the van is sitting and it's heartbreaking. With no definitive end in sight, we need to let it go to someone that will use it.

I'd love $18,000, and it comes with a clean CA title. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
