The concept started re-imagining the ADA flipseat (wheelchair position) on busses. Do a search on that and you may find some hardware that gets you on your way.

Upholstery was a PIA, done by Cooks in the Bay Area. At the end of the day these seats were a big investment.
CG post is gone and I hope you sold it as planned.

Could you share some pics on the transformer seat, details would be great if you still have them.

thanks,

There is a shortage of rail cars suitable to deliver any medium or high roof transit or other large truck and ford is having a real tough time delivering outside 700 miles from KC. Mine was build end of April.

Thanks for the heads up on the expired posting. I can't go back in this platform and edit my original post.

updated CL posting https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto...635765759.html

Seats were a one-off actually two off design and build project with MG Metalworks now Expovans. They were inspired by the fold away wheelchair position seats on busses and then designed to work in 3 positions. The project turned out to be a challenge and in the end the market was just not really there. But based on all the questions I have been getting about them maybe the market analysis was not thorough enough At the end of the day it was a complicated and $$$ effort.

try and image search on fold away bus seats and that could get you started.
