Re: 2004 Ford Diesel Sportsmobile 4x4 RB50 For Sale $35,000o

Bump. Just looking to get what I have in this van. I'm pretty sure this is the lowest priced full SMB diesel one will find, complete with newer power/drivetrain (ex. tranny). Just had front end serviced this past week. Thanks for looking.

2004 Ford Diesel Sportsmobile 4x4 RB50 For Sale **** $32,500

Bump for final price drop. If the vehicle does not sell at this price, it is my dedicated tow vehicle/baja vehicle for the bros, or the Chevy goes (we'll see about that).

I've had several questions about financing: to the very best of my knowledge, this vehicle is not able to be financed except thru home equity (good luck).

For anyone who can swing the cash, this is a turnkey loaded full SMB (SMB interior (RB-50), SMB penthouse top and SMB 4x4 conversion including the Atlas II, Aluminess, solar, inverter, furnace, etc.). I have $35k in receipts in the last two years for the drivetrain alone. Also, price the upgrades on the SMB web site and they are in the neighborhood of $20k.

This van should have hundreds of thousands of miles of life in it due to the newer engine, trf case, rear axle. It is fantastic, it just does not fit my family as well as our EB.

Thanks for looking.

Nice van! I'm curious about the cabinet refacing. Can you provide some details on how you went about that? I'm thinking of doing that on my van.

Re: 2004 Ford Diesel Sportsmobile 4x4 RB50 For Sale **** $32

Brian, thanks. The previous owner had SMB Texas reface the cabinets immediately prior to my purchasing it, so I don't have any other details other than it looks fantastic, brand new. Mine was built in '04 so I doubt there were any funky colors to begin with but the van did get plenty of use plus some new things were installed (water system, propane) so the refacing made sense.

I will use the opportunity to say that Paul, Susan and Kevin in Austin were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process, and all reviews I've read are consistent with this. I'm not sure where you're located but I would encourage you to give them a call. Same goes for Indiana. I haven't dealt with West so only reason I don't have any comment there.

Do you have the actual clearance at the rack towers? Need to see if it would fit my garage at work.

Thanks!

I get just under 8' (95"). Could be a bit less due to the angle of measurement.

Re: 2004 Ford Diesel Sportsmobile 4x4 RB50 For Sale **** SOL

Sold. I hope the new owners post up their adventures on the forums. Let's just say I am extremely envious of how and where they get to use it, I'll let them describe if they wish. $500.00 of sales proceeds donated to the forum.

Awesome! Bittersweet, I'm sure. I can't believe how long your rig sat for sale at that price! I was tempted to go to the bank and see what kind of HELOC I could get myself.

All of us thank you for the forum contribution too - way to keep the good times rolling!
cheers-
