We use the heck out of the 4x4 both off
road and in the snow so for us, yes...well worth the cost.

It is actually stated by SMB to sleep 4 but...in the top bunk, it would be for 2 small kids only, in my opinion. The bench folds down into a nice, 2 person queen where my wife and I sleep comfortably.

What is the rear heating system like?

What model Star Cool Rear AC unit does it have? Does it have one that works with the stock front AC as well as when plugged into shore power?

OUTSIDE, I do not know the Starcool model number but it works when the van is running along with the front A/C. It also works on shore power by itself, but I have not run the front A/C on shore power...didn't think to ever try that as the starcool is sufficient. The rear heat is propane fired.
