Re: 2008 GMC SMB, diesel, 4x4, penthouse, 52K miles, $48K
I love this van. Any interest in a restored 67 vw bus or classic Chevy c10?

Josh,
I sent you an email earlier this week. In case you didn't get it, yes my van is still available. And in response to your earlier post, I think you're right that the lack of plumbing (perhaps among other things) means it's not considered a class B RV in the eyes of insurance. My insurance considers it a van, but offers me coverage of the full value of the vehicle including everything done by SMB/Quigley/etc to make it what it is.
For anybody else who might have trouble contacting me by PM, feel free to email me directly at the below (somewhat bot-resistant) address.
Cheers,
Grayson

What are the dimensions of the dinette when it is acting as a bed? It looks huge.
When was the last time you had it servicded?

Bench/bed dimensions are as follows:
78" long on the driver's side (bounded by the closet in the rear, and the fridge cabinet in the front).
72" long on the passenger's side (not bounded on either end, i.e. hang your feet over if you're tall).
66" overall width when folded down to form a bed.

Yes, the extended-body van sure makes for some nice interior space.

Just this past January. She's running like a top.
In the interest of full disclosure, there's an electrical short in the wiring to the ceiling lights on the penthouse top that I've just been living with (just pulled the fuse) because there are plenty of other interior lights. There are also two small chips in the windshield that I've filled and that seem to be well contained (i.e. not in danger of spidering). Other than those two small "warts", the van is in stellar condition.

Is the Quigley 4X4 conversion a Dana 60 or an IFS system? It is hard to tell from the pictures though it does look to low for a straight axle.

Really nice opportunity for the right buyer.
