Re: For Sale 2010 Ford, RB 50, Plus, $52,900 - 801-712-5024

Last October I had the opportunity to look at a new Advanced 4wd conversion. It had a Dana 44 front axle. It may be adequate for the pulling power, but I'm not sure about the weight capacity. But, it was less expensive.

To get a solid Dana 60 4wd conversion with a T-F 46 gallon tank will take about $15K. Maybe more, depending on extras. Like wheels and tires. You probably don't want the same street tires with 4wd.

I'd have to say both sides of this discussion are right. You can get a 4wd conversion for ~ $9500 and you can get a 4wd conversion for around $15K. Depends on what you want.

For Sale 2010 Ford, RB 50, Plus, $52,900 - 801-712-5024

Regardless, sure seems like a great SMB.

I have already changed wheels and tires in anticipation of upgrading to a 4WD. It has All Terrain 4Wd tires on it with custom wheels.

Last fall I tried over a period of three weeks via email and phone weekly to get a quote on a 4x4 conversion from the SLC outfit and never got a response. Talked to a receptionist repeatedly but never went anywhere. Why would anyone do business with this type of customer service.

I'm a little confused (and curious) about the seating- you've got 4 full captains chairs, pull back the carpet and put the "mid row" of 2 captains chairs in, OR leave the carpet and put in the modular kitchen unit? Both configurations come with, go back and forth at will?

Again, why sell? You only had the van for one year and put so much into it I can't see how this is not a sizable loss to you. I'd be interested to hear from others who are willing to share reasons why they have sold in this kind of scenario. Just curious.

We need more room for our family and are going for a Class C, which are pretty inexpensive these days. I am also selling our trailer. Our van is one of the best equipped trailer pulling vehicles on the market, with integrated controller and rear view colored video monitor through the stereo, not to mention the trailer pulling ability of the V-10. So I am selling both and will replace with a Class C.

On the Captain's chairs question: We have 4 swiveling captain's chairs and a rear sofa bed. The mid row captains chairs can be removed and I add the kitchen/frig/countertop which joins next to the sink/countertop perfectly. I have two separate pieces of carpet to snap in depending on whether I have the captain's chairs. You can have the frig. modular and 1 captain's chair or no captain's chairs in the mid row.
