SOLD - Sportsmobile Sprinter w/ Electric Top - 22k Miles

Awesome super low mileage Sportsmobile Sprinter with Electric Pop Top for sale!

Craigslist Ad here:

Sportsmobile Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500 Pop Top - 22k Miles

Like new condition inside and out. Non--smoker owned and no pets have been in this van. All seats are in great condition and armrests are fully functional; swivel base spins the front passenger seat to face rear. Glossy Arctic White paint on the outside, removable grey carpet in the inside. I religiously wash this van. No rust and not driven in the winter here in Chicago; the undercarriage is clean. This converted van needs nothing.

Regular oil changes with Mobil 1 European Formula full synthetic, Mercedes Benz Approved 229.3 and 229.5. Regular maintenance always performed. Brand new tires installed a few days ago (Michelin AT2) are excellent and very grippy.

This sweet van has just over 22,000 miles! Many of the miles were accrued on trips from Illinois to Wisconsin and Colorado. All maintenance records available but there aren't many! I love my vehicles and take great care of them. Van was originally badged Freightliner but rebadged as a Mercedes Benz. All parts are genuine MB except for SMB modifications.

Features include:

Electric Penthouse Top
Zippered Windows and Covers with Screens
3.5L Gas Engine
Brand new Michelin AT2 tires (x4)
Full size spare included
Receiver hitch but I have not towed anything with this van
Cruise control (Retro install by MB)
Power front windows
10 Gallon Fresh Water Tank
6 Gallon Holding Tank
On Demand Electric Water Heater
Exterior Shower
Graphite Countertop
Refrigerator
Microwave
TV/Cable Hookup
Day Shades, Night shades, Blackout Curtains
Window Tint
Auxiliary Battery
2000 Watt Inverter
Tons of storage in locking cabinets
Rear bench folds flat into large bed
Separate rear AC control
Electric hook up capabilities
Full set of clean and barely used curtains (360 degree privacy)
All cup holders are present and functional
Various interior lighting (some LEDs, one dimmer over kitchen)
Freestanding table
Folding Ladder for upstairs access
Sleeps 4
RB 150S Floorplan

This van is really beautiful! Ready to drive any distance. Clear title in hand. Come check it out or ask me anything. Will gladly bring it in for an independent inspection.

Asking $74,500 and happy to consider your offers.

Sorry, the cost of converting to 4x4 makes this cost prohibitive for us, and we really need 4x4 out west for the mountains and desert. You should have no trouble selling it though: beautiful and very well priced.

Nice talking with you and maybe we'll cross paths in UT. Good luck in your van search.

Thinking of selling my "rare" 2003 7.3 liter RB 50 with the SMB 4x4 conversion, and getting a used Sprinter like yours. Only about a dozen SMB 4x4's with the SMB conversion per Alan Feld of SMB West. We are over the off road experience due to old age.. Do you have any photos of your sprinter to share?

Thanks,
Darryl Dickie

Thanks for the quick reply. I failed to notice that your Sprinter is gas and not diesel which is a requirement for me. Our Van gets about 15 mpg at reasonable highway speeds and I am looking at trying to improve that. I doubt that the Sprinter gas engine does much better. Your van looks great however and I'm sure you'll be able to sell it. Thanks again,
Darryl
