It's fine Annie.. Those are stock rims and tire size, on 16x7 wheels, 8x6.5 lug pattern. Same as every Ford 250 or 350 van produced since 92 (or longer)..
No worries for any 4x4 converter or anything else.

Right.....just to help clarify. Depending on your choice of up fitters, you probably will be looking at having to purchase 17" 8x170 bolt pattern wheels and at least 285/70/17 tires. One of the exceptions to this is Agile Offroad's TTB kit (twin traction beam) which uses 8X6.5, is not as lifted as most of the others, has great road (and offroad manners) and means you can run your stock wheels if you want, but most opt to upgrade to an after market wheel and bigger tires.

I am working on it!! Goodie- more tech specs to research and distract me from other things  like the sewing. I am glad to know about Agile kits to have an alternate to show the mechanic I talked to.
I realized the other day I have never driven an up fitted van have driven plenty of big trucks tho. It is great to have info so I can have at least semi-informed conversations in person, thanks to this forum!

I will hear from the owner again tomorrow, he was on road this weekend. A few more questions...
What is the lowdown on fueling the v10 esp with the pecial tune? No ethanol can be used in those? Was in Oregon in June and noticed a lot more ethanol there than New England where I was last week.

The 5R110 is the standard trans for V10s. Has been for years.

Quigley uses metric/F-series wheels too. Since about 2006 I think. Advanced is the only one using the old 8x6.5 pattern, which limits brake size unless you do something custom. And Agile too but that's a whole different setup anyways.

The V10 is rated for E10, and E15 on the newest ones. The fuel system is not equipped for E85 like the 5.4L is.
FWIW - Oregon requires ethanol as an oxygenator, because period inversion weather patterns cause bad smog, and the oxygenator reduces that. Since Oregon also banned MTBE long before CA did, ethanol because the default oxygenating compound. There is an exemption for Premium gas, but even then only some stations carry ethanol-free premium. Even E10 does cause a little MPG loss, but not enough to offset the extra cost of ethanol free gas.
