Re: Wanted CB Radio

Totaly agree with you Herb. It seems like off roaders in BC figured out what many truckers did long ago. They seem to be moving to VHF which works way better than any CB ever will.

Re: Wanted CB Radio

If your going through with tweak & peaks or 10m conversions you should already know that it is not compliant with the FCC. That being said who in their right mind has lost sleep over an FCC raid due to their CB running hot? Just stay in 11m and you'll be fine.

Re: Wanted CB Radio

I appreciate all the feed back and There has been some great info input so far.
Maybe I should have said this in the beginning, I used to be a long haul truck driver in another life and have had many Radios. I understand the world of CB radios and everything that goes along with it (thank god most people don't it can be a sick place) Roger beeps-echos-talk back-tweak and peak "Pickle Park Pete's" "Fuel tank Franks" and "Good Buddy's" etc.. FYI never call a truck driver "good buddy" you are calling him a bad name. I do not have a Ham radio license and don't want one all though thank you to those who do. Hope we never need you! I want side band and power more for listening than talking but if I'm in the middle of nowhere and need it I'm going to be heard there for I will be Tweaking and Peaking mine and it will have a linear hooked up.
I just wanted to check in with you all first in case someone had one laying around. I do thank you for the Input and hope i didn't offend anyone.
Ron
