Wanted to purchase

Looking to purchase later model E350 sportsmobile conversion. Preferences would include some combination of popup, gas, low mileage, regular body, solar, propane, please send a pm with anything which you are aware of.

There are lots of vans for sale right now. Here in the classifieds and on Expedition Portal.

Good luck

Thank you, I am trying to monitor this site along with expedition portal, rv trader, marketplace and Craigslist. Sometimes things just slip by me.

You'll find that people here have a knack for finding vans. There are a few of us that can't seem to help shop for them even when we already have one or two.....or three.

E-series is still a great platform but age is making them really start to hit the market more lately. There was a lull for a couple years, seems like it is back.

Be as specific as you like and people will send you ads, or post them.

A few pointers:
- Be ready to travel and have cash in hand
- A majority of these are in the western states
- Watch for scams, PM active members here for fact checking help
- If you're ok with 2wd you stand a better chance of finding one in the northeast/eastern US or Texas. If you want 4wd you'll more likely than not be traveling west to get it
- The biggest markets to watch Facebook and Craigslist type ads are Portland OR, Seattle WA, LA, San Diego and Bay area CA as well as Denver, Pheonix, Vegas and Salt Lake City
- Don't hang your hat on an SMB conversion. Lots and lots of great E-series camper vans have been converted by Van Specialties, Colorado Camper Van (CCV), Weldtec, Pleasure Way (Traverse), GTRV
- Don't even look at a 4.6l gas model. Stick to a 5.4 or 6.8l V10 if you're going to camperize it, tow with it or convert it to 4wd.

I could go on way longer than most care to read.....

Wish list

Thank you Scotty for the valuable information. To be a little more specific my wish list would be a 2010-14 E350, regular body, pop up, gas, low mileage, converted, model 50 is my preference but would consider others, 4wd is preferred but would consider 2, propane, furnace, refrigerator, solar, sink, cooktop. Located in North Carolina but willing to travel, ready to purchase the right van at the right price.

I know it is out there just need some help locating it.

Glad to help and others will too. If you are willing to share your approx budget it can help, certainly not necessary though.

A later model E350, RB-50 layout, with the features you want will cost you a lot more than 50-75K unless it has serious issues.

I have a 2010 E350 diesel that was converted in 2015 by SMB West with every conceivable option. Cost me $165,000. I've been thinking of selling it, but parting with it is painful, even though I don't use it much these days. Only 19,000 miles on it.
