Re: Wanted used 2003 Econoline aluminess front bumper

When I was traveling in Colorado I saw a guy hit an elk, his truck didn’t survive. I Lived in Ohio, deer getting hit seemed like it was a daily thing, I was lucky I never hit one. When I lived in Maine I only saw what a moose can do to a truck and like an elk it really doesn’t matter if it’s a Buck stopper bumper or an Aluminess bumper something is going to give, your just praying that the animal goes down under your truck and not over the hood into the windshield. Deer have a better chance of comes through the windshield since they will hop.

The factory OEM bumper is junk, we all know it – Buck stopper makes a nice bumper so does Aluminess, I really like the look of Road Armor bumpers but they wouldn’t make one for me to fit the van, they wanted me to buy and modify a truck bumper. Kenny at Aluminess made the changes I asked for, he is good people and goes out of his way so you get what you want.

Don't forget the Aluminess deal:

Remember, you don't save $50 unless you buy a bumper!

Re: Wanted used 2003 Econoline aluminess front bumper

Thanks for all the comments. I agree alot can happen when hitting anything especially an animal. I know we would have a better chance with an aluminess though. I plan on putting it on a low mileage Bigfoot 27dsl with a 7.3 so there is alot to protect up front. Thanks for the link to the discount! Cory

Re: Wanted used 2003 Econoline aluminess front bumper

Kinda hard to see but my boatin buddy had Aluminess add an extra cross bar on the front of his bumper. He put it there to keep deer out of his grill. My plan is to have $1,500 worth of Hella HIDs slow the deer down before it takes out my radiator.

His van is the one on the left.
